Scotch Bonnet Red

One of varieties of chili I grown in a greenhouse was Scotch Bonnet pepper coming from Caribbean. The plant produces a medium-sized oval fruits containing a 100.000-350.000 units SHU. Variety is also found in the Maldives and Guyana, where it is called 'Ball of Fire'.
Because of its taste Scotch Bonnet is often used around the world as a seasoning for many dishes, and the main component of spicy sauces.
Personally, I like Scotch Bonnet mainly for its looks and high productivity. Fans of hot flavor will find in it a rich source of capsaicin.
